Housing support fund

The Housing Support Fund was established for Mission Housing’s accepted key Christian workers whose circumstances do not allow them to meet rent payments in full. These people may not be eligible for local authority housing benefit. And sometimes MH cannot accept applicants due to their shortage of funding. Regular donations by you to the HSF play an important part in the funding process and can make all the difference.

The Fund can also pertain to Applicants who, being unable to enter into shared ownership, need initial assistance affording commercial rental housing. As of January 2012, MH widened its remit for the Housing Support Fund to include offering an interest–free loan for the damage deposit (payable when vacating the premises) and a grant of the first month’s rent to be paid directly to the landlord or agent. You can designate your gift to a specific MH Applicant – or, when a nomination is not made – the Board allocates funding as needs arise.

For HSF gifts, we have teamed up with Stewardship*, a registered charity that administers secure donations and handles Gift Aid. Click the link below to visit the Stewardship website. Be sure to complete the section designating your gift to an Applicant in the MH Housing Support Fund. If you require any additional information or assistance, please do not hesitate to contact the Association.

*Stewardship is the operating name of Stewardship Services (UKET) Limited. A registered charity in England and Wales No: 234714, and a company limited by guarantee, registered in England No: 90305
