Where buying a property is appropriate but the worker cannot afford this alone, we may be able to provide small long–term loans to make a purchase possible. An interest/repayment scheme may then be set up.
Deposit savings + mortgage + loans (some with equity) + top–up from Mission Housing = purchase price
Half of the Applicants who participated in Mission Housing’s shared ownership schemes have been able to buy out MH’s share. This has allowed many of them to become independent, and capital from completed schemes goes back into the Association as revolving capital.
