Caleb and Adanesh

Caleb and Adanesh are church planters. They have recently planted two churches near Elephant and Castle. One serves the Ethiopians and Eritrean communities, while the other is a multicultural church seeking to serve the local community.

They are seeking to build churches that are committed to evangelism, discipleship, meeting the needs of the local community and training leaders.

They are working in collaboration with like minded churches to meet the many needs that exist in their local community. Caleb and Adanesh are prioritising training leaders and are wanting to plant churches that plant other churches.

Mission Housing were able to support them to rent a flat near Elephant and Castle when their landlord decided to sell their previous home. It was a great blessing for them to be able to remain part of their ministry area, however, it was only ever a temporary solution, and they are keen to ensure they can embed themselves permanently in the community.

However, housing in the area is expensive, and with all the development taking place in Elephant and Castle, likely to continue to become even more expensive in the years to come.

Caleb and Adanesh are committed to serving God in Elephant and Castle and need to find a permanent home. They love living among the people they serve and want a home that can be a base for ministry and hospitality. A home suitable for their requirements will cost in the region of £320,000 – which is more than they can afford. That’s why they are working in partnership with Mission Housing – a Christian charity that enables key Christian workers to afford accommodation.
