Let’s help Esther stay in Wandsworth supporting local youth work.

For the past 8 years, I have lived on-site at Providence House which has been a great experience and enabled me to embed myself in the local community. Having recently taken on the role of Director at Providence House, as well as wanting to continue developing wider community partnerships and creative ministry.

Finding alternative accommodation that releases me from some of the pressures of living onsite but remains close to my community will enable me to continue serving with more independence and protect a healthy work-life balance.

In 2012 I became the Senior Youth Worker at Providence House Youth Club based in Battersea. Over the last 12 years I have built positive relationships with the children, young people and local community, supporting people facing significant challenges and disadvantages.

As Director of Providence House for the past two years I have been working strategically to integrate voluntary and statutory working seeking to influence systemic change with support from the council, corporate businesses, charity trusts and foundations to raise awareness of new ways of impacting lives.

Esther is committed to serving God in Wandsworth and needs to find a permanent home. She loves living among the people she serves and wants a home that can be a base for ministry and hospitality. A home suitable for her requirements will cost in the region of £350,000 – which is more than she can afford. That’s why she is working in partnership with Mission Housing – a Christian charity that enables key Christian workers to afford accommodation.

“Esther is an excellent youth worker x10. I commend her to you, and hope that she will soon be able to purchase a home in the area – we don’t want to lose her!”

Phil Thain – Youthworker

Could you provide a loan to enable Esther to permanently move into the community she loves to live and work?
