Leaving a Legacy

Would you like to leave a legacy that will enable future generations to hear and experience the Good News of Jesus? If so, would you consider leaving a financial gift or property to Mission Housing in your will? Any gift you leave can truly help an individual, couple or family live in an area which is key for their Christian ministry.

If you would like to talk about leaving a legacy to us, please email our CEO, Bruce.

Local

Mission Housing aims to provide housing that is within local reach of the church or ministry that the Christian worker is involved in, so they can be embedded in their local community.

Quick

We are very quick to action, and direct your capital to the people who need it the most. Your donation could enable someone to have a home within a few months.

Needed

As property prices increase, the number of enquiries increases as buying or renting a home becomes unaffordable. With your help, Mission Housing can help to meet their needs.

Your Gifts Impact

Leaving a legacy to Mission Housing in your will is your way of helping key Christian workers live in the areas where they work, to enable them to build deeper connections within the local communities and show commitment to the people they are ministering to.

If you choose to leave a legacy to Mission Housing, your donation would go towards enabling key Christian workers to live and work where God has called them.

Restricted Legacy

You can opt to add some restrictions to your legacy. For example, if you wish your legacy to be used in a specific geographical area, or for a specific type of mission work, or church denomination, you can.

Unrestricted Legacy

If you choose to not put any restrictions on your legacy, the capital would go towards purchasing homes, Mission Housing’s expenses and to stimulate our growth and development.

Types of Legacies

  • You could leave a property to Mission Housing in your will. We would either keep it to rent affordably to a Christian worker or sell it and use the capital to help purchase a home for someone who has applied to Mission Housing for support.

  • You can give a set amount of money or a percentage of your estate, which could be as little as 1%.

  • If you already have a loan with us, or in one of our associates properties, you could forgive it in your will.

Who We’ve Helped

Since 2014, Mission Housing has helped over 62 mission individuals and families buy or rent a home, and some of our associates below are people who have benefited from the help of a legacy.

Faye

Faye supports the outreach work of missionaries and her church. Her rented home was bought as a result of a legacy to Mission Housing.

Tanya and Steve

Tanya and Steve are pastors in the shadow of Grenfell Tower and a lender is forgiving their loan in their legacy, meaning they can staircase and own more of their property in the future.

Mark

Mark works with a Christian community charity with the help of the local agencies, in Sutton. Legacies, forgiving a loan in his home, have enabled him to purchase more (staircasing).

Azam and Amber

Using capital from a legacy, Mission Housing bought out a shared owner, who wished to sell, and let the property to Azam and Amber who are engaged in outreach on their estate in East London.
