Stef and Davina
FUNDING OPPORTUNITY - CENTRAL LONDON
Stef and Davina moved from City Hope Church Bermondsey to Camden in 2006. They were the pioneering lead couple that planted Revelation Church (Rev).
Stef is one of the Pastors, and is the training director for Relational Mission - a global network of churches, and Davina is a secondary school teacher.
Rev is a diverse congregation from across Camden and Islington boroughs and are involved with many initiatives to bring the Gospel to the local area. In recent years they’ve seen a growing number of people come to know Jesus and become fully involved in church life.
The church runs Chalk Farm Foodbank, which provides food for 1000s of people each year, and a CAP Debt Centre. Both of these initiatives have provided opportunities to pray and share Jesus with people in a very pro-active way.
Both Stef and Davina are involved in discipling people within the church, and actively involved in building relationships and sharing their faith with those in the community.
The church has rented a property for them, and their three children, Since 2006 and they feel that Mission Housing’s shared ownership scheme would be better stewardship of church resources and provide more long-term security for Stef and Davina.
Stef and Davina are committed to serving God in Camden and need to find a permanent home. They love living among the people they serve and want a home that can be a base for ministry and hospitality. A home suitable for their requirements will cost in the region of £850,000 – which is more than they can afford. That’s why they are working in partnership with Mission Housing – a Christian charity that enables key Christian workers to afford accommodation.
“As trustees we’re delighted to have found a solution which means that we can invest the money already raised and give the Liston’s a long-term home where they can put down deeper roots into the community. This is good stewardship that’ll serve not just Revelation Church but all of north London.”
