Marshall and Amy
FUNDING OPPORTUNITY - STOURBRIDGE
GEM’s Mission: To reach Europe by multiplying disciples and growing Christ's Church.
Through shared ownership, Marshall and Amy want to put down roots in the UK to impact Stourbridge, one home at a time.
We live on an estate of about 45 homes in Stourbridge and have been connecting with local families ever since moving here 10 years ago. Relationships are key to our ministry – offering hospitality and a safe space for people to find God.
Hospitality provides a perfect opportunity to ‘be church’ in a community that has limited local access to Christian worship and events. We host dinners, tea parties, BBQs and even a book club; all to sow kingdom seeds among our neighbours and engender a sense of community.
We gather on Sundays in a community centre, host two life groups and the occasional Alpha Course at home during the week. We have a monthly children’s club and look to the future to re-establish youth work in the town centre. Our desire is to see a network of Acts 2:42 house churches across Stourbridge whose members are disciples of Jesus Christ.
Marshall and Amy are committed to serving God in Stourbridge and need to find a permanent home. They love the work that they do in the UK and long for a home that can be a base for their work and hospitality.
A home suitable for their requirements will cost in the region of £400,000 – which is more than they can afford. That’s why they are working in partnership with Mission Housing – a Christian charity that enables key Christian workers to afford accommodation.
